Translate innovation insights into inspiring visuals
Spark Works is looking for a passionate visual designer to support the company’s design & communication activities. As part of a small team in London, you will collaborate with the Sparkies in Zurich on various ongoing design tasks - no matter if print, digital or moving images, it’s always about creating visuals that clearly capture intangible concepts and engage people.
As junior visual designer you will be working on internal and external customer projects. Besides creating visuals within the existing branding guidelines, conceptual thinking is required to support the creation of original and unique communication materials. We’re looking for a motivated personality who is willing to bring in their own expertise and interests. Additionally, you are expected to design, prioritise, and deliver tasks autonomously alongside your interdisciplinary projects.
→ Development of digital and printed communication materials like slide decks, proposals, social media content, posters, prototypes etc. All of the above include layouting, illustrating, image editing, video cutting, creation of simple animations, etc.
→ Editing and maintenance of website content
→ Support in the consistent implementation and expansion of the corporate branding strategy
→ Bringing in inspiring ideas for internal design projects (renewal/development of Spark Works communication material)
→ Proven work experience (1+ years) in a company environment
→ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in visual communication or related fields
→ Professional level in Adobe Software (InDesign; Photoshop; Illustrator) and Keynote
→ Animation and/or programming skills are an asset
→ Ability to work independently and pay attention to details
→ Interest in methodologies such as Human-Centered Design, Design Thinking and agileconcept development
→ Desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic small company
→ Experienced in working with a remote team
→ Excellent knowledge of English with fluency in speaking, reading & writing; German is an asset
